Crop an image online
Remove unwanted parts of a photo, or fit a required aspect ratio.
Sometimes a photo just needs tightening up — cutting out a distracting background, focusing on a subject, or matching a platform’s required ratio (square for a profile photo, 16:9 for a banner). Crop lets you draw the exact rectangle to keep, or start from a common preset.
How to crop image
- Drop a JPG, PNG, WebP or HEIC image into the upload area — maximum 50 MB.
- Drag directly on the preview to draw the area you want to keep, or tap a preset ratio (1:1, 4:3, 16:9) to start from a centered box.
- Adjust by drawing again if needed.
- Click "Crop image" and download the result.
Common use cases
- Crop a photo to a square for a profile picture.
- Cut a screenshot down to just the relevant part.
- Fit a banner image to a 16:9 or 4:3 ratio.
- Remove a distracting background element from a photo.
