Merge PDF files online
Combine multiple PDFs into one document, in the order you choose.
Merging PDFs is one of the most common document chores there is — combining scanned receipts into one expense report, stitching chapters of a book together, or assembling a single PDF from several contracts before sending them for signature. Our Merge PDF tool takes 2 or more files, lets you drag them into the order you want, and gives back one clean PDF containing every page from every file, in that order.
How to merge pdf
- Sign in with Google — merging multiple files requires a free account so we can keep the "one file at a time" guest tier honest.
- Add 2 or more PDF files by dragging them in or clicking to browse.
- Use the up/down arrows to put the files in the order you want them to appear in the final document.
- Click "Merge PDFs" and download the combined file once it is ready — usually a few seconds.
Common use cases
- Combine scanned receipts or invoices into one expense report PDF.
- Assemble multiple contracts or exhibits into a single document before sending for signature.
- Stitch chapters, sections, or reports from different authors into one deliverable.
- Merge a cover letter and resume into a single PDF for a job application.

Frequently asked questions
Is there a limit to how many PDFs I can merge?+
You can merge up to 20 files in one go, 50 MB each.
Can I change the order after uploading?+
Yes — use the up/down arrows next to each file before clicking Merge. The final PDF follows exactly that order.
Why do I need to sign in?+
Merging is a multi-file operation, and our guest tier is capped at one file at a time. Signing in with Google is free and instant.
Does merging change page content, quality, or size?+
No — pages are copied as-is from each source file. The output is the sum of the input pages, nothing is re-rendered or recompressed.
What happens to my files afterward?+
Files are processed over HTTPS and deleted from our servers after 1 hour — the same retention policy as every other tool on this site. We never open, read, or share the contents of your files beyond what is needed to run this operation.
